If you have a welcome message on your home page, you want it to stay at the top of the screen.
By default, however, Joomla always publishes the newest article first. That means constantly going into the Front Page Manager and re-adjusting the order.
To force a message to remain at the top of your home page:
- Open the Front Page Manager
- Change the order of the article that you want to remain at the top of the screen to -1
- Save the order
