Independent study is designed for advanced standing juniors and seniors, who have distinguished themselves in their studies.

I am discerning in determining who I will take on for independent studies. In the past, I have supervised independent studies in the following areas, though I am open to other areas of study:

• Advanced javaScript techniques for image galleries (1 student)
• Advanced PHP (1 student)
• Database development and design for a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) application (1 student)
• Online marketing and e-commerce (1 student)
• Streaming video and interactive community building (2 students)
• User-centered design and usability testing (2 students)

The results of these projects have directly resulted in further success at Odney interactive, an internship with Marshfield Foundation, and employment with a Milwaukee-based design agency.
