Welcome to my new site.
I am in the process of converting everything over to Joomla! 3.0 and will be writing about the experience as I progress.
In the summer of 1987, I was working as a bank teller shortly after my senior year of high school. And I was waiting to leave home for St. John's University.
That's when I met Joe, the owner of a musty bookstore two blocks away from the bank.*

This summer we focused primarily on Wordpress, Joomla! and Drupal.
But is that all there is in the world of open source web content management systems?
Ever hear about Fiyo, Concrete, Typo3 or PHP-Fusion?
I just finished spending the better part of this afternoon getting my new Joomla! 3.x site up and running. On first glance, I really like what I see in this version. Everything seems much cleaner, and managing extensions (all of them) from one place is much easier and more intuitive.
I am realizing, however, that it's been long enough since I've created a Joomla! site that it's taking longer to do some things.
One thing that has been nice is better built-in support for things like Google Analytics. I'm finding that I'm getting away with installing far fewer modules and plugins this time around.
More later tonight, I'm sure!
