Welcome to my new site.
I am in the process of converting everything over to Joomla! 3.0 and will be writing about the experience as I progress.
As we wrap up 2014, and the first serious year of birding and some critter-ing (hah!), I thought it might be fun to recap what we saw.
I'm thinking about some sort of introduction to programming course (CS0) that is a little outside of the norm: something that is hands-on and still involves programming. To that end, I'm working with both an Arduino Uno (more information on that alternative later) and a Raspberry Pi. This resource is intended to start outlining a 1 credit course using a Raspberry Pi B+ as the base model.
In the summer of 1987, I was working as a bank teller shortly after my senior year of high school. And I was waiting to leave home for St. John's University.
That's when I met Joe, the owner of a musty bookstore two blocks away from the bank.*
